Name:Severus Snape
E-mail:edgeofsilk@yahoo.com
Bio:Name of character you are applying for: Severus Snape

Age of character you are applying for(physical age, if one of the resurrected): 21

Birthday: January 9, 1960

PB: Louis Garrell

Wand: Aspen, 11", dragon heartstring

House at Hogwarts: Slytherin

Family
Parents: Tobias Snape and Eileen Snape (nee Prince)
Siblings: None
Family interactions (how does your character get along with his/her family members?): Tobias was a very possessive man with an aggressive disposition only increased by his over indulgence of alcoholic beverages. Being a Muggle, he found his wife and son’s ‘defects’ shameful, frequently using it as an excuse to lash out, mostly directed at Eileen, though he wasn’t above raising a hand to his son nor assaulting his wife in front of young Severus.

Needless to say, Severus hated his father. While Eileen never took a cruel hand to her son, she easily fell victim to her husband’s abuse, and despite her magical prowess, she did not use it against Tobias, not even to protect herself or her child. She provided him basic necessities and nothing more. Her inability to stand up for herself or her son earned less than appreciation from Severus.

However, the woman was a pureblood, and his father’s barbaric behaviour heavily influenced Severus’ ability to embrace pureblood ideals. Deep down, he held a certain amount of respect for her, secretly declaring himself the Half-blood Prince, a pun off her maiden name.

Still, come the time Severus was of age and able to be dependant, he once looked back at his parents.

Occupation: In life: Death Eater, Order of the Phoenix member, Potions Master at Hogwarts, Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, Hogwarts Headmaster. For full details, see History. Now: he’ll find some new purpose to get by.
Residence: In life: a shabby house on Spinner’s End, Hogwarts. Now: he’ll probably return to Spinner’s End at least temporarily.
Financial status: Enough to get by.

Political views: Conservative Separatist; While in the end Severus’ loyalties were devoted to Dumbledore, he defied to the Dark Lord so Lily Potter’s sacrifice wasn’t done in vain, not because he necessarily had a change in views. Put in a situation without the Dark Lord, the Prophecy, and where Lily Evans’ life is not in danger, his stance leans closer to the days of being a Death Eater.

Blood Status: Half-blood

Sexuality (Please note, if you are playing a pureblood character who is also gay/bisexual, there are guidelines): Somewhere in between Asexual and Pansexual. From childhood, he only had an interest in Lily Evans, falling in love with her, which never died even when she spurned their friendship and inevitably passed away. He never took an interest in another, though that’s not to say he’s incapable.

Physical description

Height: Nearing six feet
Weight: Approximately 180 pounds
Distinguishing marks: Lanky, greasy black hair, hooked nose; Described as looking like a ‘bat’ as means of ridicule. Additionally, he had the Dark Mark on his left arm, visible during times Voldemort was in power.

Give us a description of your character's appearance: Severus isn’t one to give high regard to his physical appearance, and it shows. In fact, it seems to be the easiest target for ridicule, particularly during his school days. Severus was never an attractive man and focussed his efforts to what he considered to be productive activities, his physique not being one of them.

He stands fairly tall, with pale skin, dulled from lack outdoor activities. His black hair is long and lanky, containing a heavy amount of grease and serves as somewhat of a curtain for him to hide his face, though his long, hooked nose isn’t something he can hide. His eyes are generally regarded as cold and are dark enough to be considered black–a colour he is always seen wearing.

Overall, his appearance reflects his attitude.

Give us a description of your character's personality (for example, are they a confident person? Do they speak their mind? What are their flaws and good points? We want to know that you have a good understanding of your character, so feel free to use examples and make it as in depth as possible): A recluse and a cynic, Severus is one typically regarded as unpleasant. Though he follows those whom he sees as authority figure, he’s better at working at his lonesome–a rogue soldier, so to speak–ultimately making him the ideal spy.

He frequently thinks in absolutes and has a low tolerance to what he dictates as incompetence. It takes a very huge event to make him change his perspectives because once his views are set, he won’t hide his opinion. It took the death of Lily Potter for him to truly understand the depths of evil of the Dark Lord, when before he had been blinded by his own desires for power with the Dark Arts.

As a teenager, he had been quite reckless and took the good things he did have for granted. It was perhaps Lily Evan’s ending their friendship that curved his attitude from the hostile child to the mysterious adult most would remember.

As an adult, he handles almost everything with a stern attitude and doesn’t bother trying to hide his biases. He could care less about how fair he’s being. This is most notable during his days as a teacher: he would take the time to assist a struggling student of his own House and quickly ridicule incompetence of a student from any other House–especially Gryffindor on account he holds an everlasting resentment stemmed from his own days as a student. It goes without saying as maturely as he presents himself in his adulthood, he still holds very childish habits.

Despite his outward projection, Severus is more in touch with his emotions than he’d like others to believe. He is, however, talented at keeping them underway, frequently coming off as impassive, though his anger has been known to shine through. God forbid he ever laugh. The closest to a smile most have seen grace his lips is a triumphant smirk, even then, his lips are more likely to twist into a sneer.

True to his House’s dictation, Severus is a cunning man, who eventually honed such a talent at deception that he is the only known person to deceive the Dark Lord. He is not an excellent liar, per se, but he can keep a control over his emotions that enables him to twist the truth at such an angle that one can see only what he lets them.

Severus’ acts of kindness frequently go unnoticed or even misinterpreted as he doesn’t go out of his way to stand out and make his intentions clear. His mysterious nature is probably drawn from the fact that the one person he cared enough for to open up to rejected him in the end, making him not want to with any other lest he is rejected again. Dumbledore could be considered an exception, but in that case, he opened up out of necessity rather than desiring to.

Despite this, his jealously toward James Potter and his frustration at losing the chance to obtain an Order of Merlin for capturing Sirius Black show that he does have a desire for his talents to be recognised, though he’d likely never admit it.

History
Born the only child to Tobias and Eileen Snape, Severus grew up in a dingy little home in Spinner’s End: a quaint neighbourhood without anyone from the wizarding community anywhere near them to the Snapes’ knowledge.

Tobias was the type of Muggle to scoff at sorcery once he learned of it, possibly due to jealously, though he spoke of it as if it had some sort of Satanic affiliation. Perhaps at one point he treated his wife like a perfect gentleman. If so, Severus never saw it.

Severus had to learn to cope at a very young age, and the thing that really caught his interest was his magical heritage. For hours on end, he’d dive nose first into one of his mother’s texts, particularly amazed by the Dark Arts, perhaps being exposed to violence on a casual basis led to the desire to study the craft of magic focussed on harming another.

Overall, he kept to his own devices. While his mother wasn’t nearly as outlandish as his father, she didn’t offer the sort of maternal care she should’ve. But Severus wasn’t one to wallow and mope and did his best to take care of himself at far too young an age. He revelled the day he would go to Hogwarts, feeling he truly belonged in that world. He hated his Muggle father, and by process, held a resentment toward all Muggles, giving him views like that of a pure-blood elitist.

When Severus felt he needed to retreat from the household, he would go by himself to the local park. Most kids laughed at him for his shabby appearance. He usually just threw something together to wear since his parents didn’t seem to care. Because of this, Severus did what he could to keep to himself during such outings.

On one of his recreational visits, Severus spotted two girls, sisters from the looks of it, and his attention remained particularly focussed on the girl with red hair. After observing her for a short time, he realised that she too was a witch, though the girl herself appeared unaware.

Severus wanted nothing more than to approach her, but for many visits, he kept to himself. He could care less about the taunts of other children his age, but he wanted to make a good impression with her. Of course, when he finally drew up the courage, she found him insulting.

Happily for him, Lily turned out to be a very kind girl and later gave him a chance, realising that he spoke genuinely of her magical abilities. Lily was so unlike his own family and the other children. When everyone else pinned him off as the odd boy, she accepted him with open arms, and he soon found himself growing a strong attachment to her.

They met frequently, and he told her all he knew of the wizarding world, and she was also the only person Severus would speak of his family to. The two became close friends, much to her sister’s dismay, though Severus hardly cared, seeing as she was a Muggle, which led to the occasional arguments between the friends (mostly from Lily towards Severus) because he didn’t treat Petunia remotely respectful. In fact, he found it most surprising after he and Lily received their letters to Hogwarts that her sister received a reply to the letter she had sent in to the Headmaster.

Despite his father’s resentment towards the wizarding world, he didn’t have too large an objection to his son attending Hogwarts, perhaps on account of an overall indifference one way or the other. Severus didn’t know nor did he care. He met with Lily on Platform Nine and Three Quarters more excited than he had ever been in his life.

Though not everyone he’d meet would earn the appreciation that Lily had. On the train, Severus met Sirius Black and James Potter, a minor dispute over Houses the small spark to their remaining years as enemies. Severus arrived at the school with an arsenal of knowledge in the Dark Arts (it was said that he knew more Dark spells than the average seventh year. An exaggeration, though he did know quite a bit), and Sirius and James took the role of his ‘test subjects’ from Severus’ behalf.

While Severus and Lily were regrettably put into separate Houses (he in Slytherin, she in Gryffindor), they still maintained a close friendship, at least for the first few years.

Severus didn’t divulge his family life to his House-mates, so there was a good chance they never learned of his true bloodline. Not that they ever would have questioned it. His talents earned him quite a bit of respect from the other Slytherins, quickly making friends among them, most notably: Lucius Malfoy, who was a few years his senior and took him under his wing, forming a close friendship eventually, despite their age difference.

In fact, he found out so much more about the Dark Arts that he was able to create his own spells. He frequently wrote them in his potion’s book along with other tips and tricks he discovered, secretly declaring himself the Half-blood Prince: a pun off of his mother’s name as she was a pure-blood witch. James Potter and Sirius Black frequently found themselves on the receiving end of these spells, though not without a cost as they started learning Severus’ own spells and using them against him.

During his time at school, the rise of Lord Voldemort became known, which frightened many. Severus, on the other hand, found it intriguing and took a great interest when the conversation of his fellow House-mates turned to joining the Death Eaters.

Lily, however, was not impressed. She disliked his interest in the Dark Arts, as well as some of his friends’ behaviour towards members of her own House, and she especially disliked the prejudices most of his House held of bloodlines.

They had the occasional disputes, and Severus was even glad that she held no interest in James Potter, particularly when he noticed the Gryffindor fancied her. In fact, he found himself regarding her more possessively because of it.

The hatred between Severus and Potter drew to such an extreme that Severus frequently found himself following he and his friends in an attempt to catch them doing something wrong, so he could get them expelled. While these attempts were unsuccessful, he did get the inclination that one of their friends, Remus Lupin, was a werewolf.

This took a particularly hard turn when Sirius Black tipped him off to approach the Shrieking Shack the night of a full moon. Determined that he would finally prove that Lupin was a werewolf, Severus easily fell for the trap. Chances were, he probably would’ve been killed or at least turned into a werewolf himself if James Potter hadn’t found him and stopped him last minute, which made Severus grudgingly indebted to him.

But it all turned for the worst during his fifth year, right after one of his O.W.L. examinations. It had become quite common for James Potter and Sirius Black to publically harass him, and there had been many instances where Severus had provoked a fight, but this particular day was woeful above all others. Not only was he publically humiliated, he had called his dear friend Lily Evans the unforgivable: a Mudblood.

Despite pleading outside the Gryffindor common room, Lily spurned their friendship, declaring she felt that Severus cared more for Dark Arts, blood purity, and possibly joining the Death Eaters than he did for her. Though this wasn’t true, it was a case of not realising what he had lost until it was gone.

Nevertheless, the attachment he had grew into love, one that didn’t die after the end of their friendship. He continued his schooling and no longer bothered her, as she wished and became the admirer from afar like he had been prior to their friendship.

Severus was close enough with the peers of his House and well accepted, so he was able to leave Spinner’s End behind upon graduation. He never did learn what became of his parents nor did he care to. His prowess proved exceptional, enabling him to take the Mark a short time after.

Perhaps the Dark Lord was impressed by his talents, perhaps his strong initiative proved favourable, perhaps the Dark Lord merely saw a reflection of himself in young Severus, he did not know, but he found himself among the higher rankings relatively quickly. His days shooting hexes at Gryffindors seemed an innocent thing of the past compared to the depth he stepped. The once curious loner had become a murderer.

Still, Severus took everything he did seriously and was very reliable and responsible, so when his good friend Lucius Malfoy had his first born son, Draco Malfoy, Severus was appointed godfather. Though the news surprised him as he never looked at himself as a father-type figure, he was honoured nonetheless.

His value to the Dark Lord reached its peak a few years later. He had been ordered to seek a job as a teacher at Hogwarts in July of 1980, and in the process, overheard a portion of the Prophecy that Fated the possibility of the Dark Lord’s downfall. Though the owner of the Hog’s Head managed to briefly stop him, Severus was able to escape and relay all he had heard to the Dark Lord directly.

A short time afterward, the Dark Lord concluded that the Prophecy spoke of James and Lily Potter’s son. Though she was married to his old school nemesis and they had a child, Severus’ feelings for her hadn’t wavered. He begged the Dark Lord to spare her and take the child instead.

With his high standing, the Dark Lord obliged, however Severus did not feel reassured and found himself returning to Hogwarts, pleading for Dumbledore to protect her. The Headmaster did of course, and for a time, Severus believed her safe.

However, after a little over a year, the Dark Lord found the Potters, killing James and Lily in the process. Severus was devastated to learn of her death and somewhat angry Dumbledore hadn’t protected her. But this single act was the turning point. The Dark Lord had killed Lily Evans, and Severus swore his allegiance to Dumbledore, determined to the Dark Lord’s downfall as the Headmaster made it known that he hadn’t truly fallen.

Severus was appointed the job of Potions Master at Hogwarts, though he desired the Defence Against the Dark Arts position. Dumbledore refused to give it to him, and he never explained why.

While Severus had been outed as a Death Eater, his position with Dumbledore ensured him cleared of any potential charges. For a little over a decade, Severus’ life was peaceful, if not overly mundane. He was skilled at what he did, though he made a reputation for favouring students of his own House.

During that time, many of the Death Eaters evaded Azkaban, claiming to be under the Imperius Curse. Severus probably could’ve provided adequate testimony to incarcerate many of them, but he didn’t, and Dumbledore didn’t appear to urge him to (more than likely because it would’ve factored against him later in life, though Severus wasn’t informed at the time).

In fact, despite his change in alliance, Severus remained friends with some of the former Death Eaters, particularly Lucius Malfoy, where he was considered a family friend.

Nothing of significance happened one way or the other until the fall of 1991, when Harry Potter would enter the doors of Hogwarts as a first year. Immediately, Severus pinned him as a young version of his father, the boy’s physical appearance only added to that. However, he had Lily’s eyes. Severus felt an obligation to protect him, partially because he was indebted to his father but also because of the devotion he still felt towards Lily, not wanting her death to be in vain, and the promise he made to Dumbledore.

It would be that year that the Dark Lord attempted to return, using the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, Quirinus Quirrell. On Dumbledore’s orders, he did what he could to thwart Quirrell’s attempts at stealing the Philosopher’s Stone. Additionally, he made it his duty to keep Harry Potter safe, though that didn’t prevent him from thinking ill of the boy and making many attempts to get him expelled, showing an immense favoritism to his own godson, Draco Malfoy, who had entered Hogwarts that year as well.

Like his father before him, Harry Potter had a certain disregard for the rules, which only annoyed Severus further. Though the boy was actually a good deal more modest, Severus took his attempts at heroism as arrogance. In fact, he found himself all the more irritated at the boy’s sense of bravery, believing that he didn’t understand the full power of the Dark Lord, so he took it upon himself to inform him at every turn.

During Harry Potter’s third year was the escape of one of his rivals, Sirius Black, the man believed to have betrayed the Potters. Severus’ loathing came from a variety of personal reasons, and as rumours spread that he crossed the borders of the school, he hoped to catch him himself. Dumbledore appointed Remus Lupin as Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, and though Severus aided him by providing Wolfsbane Potion monthly, he did not trust the man and frequently warned Dumbledore that he would have reason to aid Black.

Towards the end of the semester, Severus almost got his wish, He had cornered Sirius Black and Remus Lupin in the Shrieking Shack with Potter and his friends. His past grudge disabled him from seeing reason as Black tried to explain that Pettigrew had been the real culprit.

However, he had been knocked unconscious, and by the time he roused, he found Harry Potter, Sirius Black, and Hermione Granger by the edge of the Black Lake, surrounded by Dementors. Before Severus could do anything, he watched in astonishment as someone cast an extraordinarily powerful Patronus, though he had no idea who.

Severus summoned stretchers to take them inside, and for a moment, he was under the impression Sirius Black would be subject to the Dementor’s Kiss and he would be awarded an Order of Merlin. But Black escaped, and while he had no logic to prove it, he determined himself that Potter had somehow been involved.

In his frustration, Severus announced to his House that Remus Lupin was a werewolf, giving him some sort of victory.

But things wouldn’t truly take a dark turn until the following school year. When the Goblet of Fire produced Harry Potter’s name from the cup, the staff members knew something was awry. While Severus’ first impression was that the boy did it purposely to seek attention, Dumbledore made it known the severity of the situation.

Once again, his biases played in favour of the Slytherins, and he made no attempts to stop them from tormenting the boy, though he was quick to issue detention if he thought Harry Potter had done something wrong. Whilst dealing with Alastor Moody’s constant interrogation and the fact someone was stealing from his stores, it hardly compared to the Mark on his forearm, slowly making its appearance. It didn’t help that Kakaroff sought his counsel almost constantly because of his own Mark, though Severus didn’t much care for the man as he was the one that outed him.

At the end of the year, the Dark Lord returned to power, and Severus even did what he could to convince the Minister of Magic of this, though he was unwilling to listen. Severus was pushed into the most dangerous of roles, but on account of his superior Occlumency skills, he was able to play the spy for the Dark Lord.

He returned to the Dark Lord’s summons on Dumbledore’s orders, and at first, the Dark Lord believed him disloyal, though Severus was soon able to convince him otherwise by providing information more useful to the Dark Lord than any other Death Eater had to offer, putting him high in his favour once again.

Severus kept his post as Potions Master, remaining loyal to Dumbledore and acquiring information for the Order of the Phoenix, all the while the Dark Lord believed the exact opposite to be happening.

It was a dangerous game and only Severus could do it. He and Sirius Black came to some sort of understanding as they were now on the same side, though that didn’t mean they had to like each other. Additionally, Dumbledore ordered the man to train Harry Potter in Occlumency, which he grudgingly accepted, though the boy never did properly learn.

Perhaps Dumbledore was under the impression that if they had mild insights to the other’s childhood, they could develop a sense of empathy towards one another. This was not to be, and as Severus caught Harry inside one of his memories in the pensieve–his worst school memory to be exact–he refused to teach the boy any further.

Despite his frustration with him, he prevented Professor Umbridge from using Veritaserum on him and his friends, and when he realised Potter had fled the school to the Department of Mysteries, it was he who informed Sirius Black and the rest of the Order what had happened.

During the summer, Dumbledore went about a mission that Severus was unaware of. However, he returned having been exposed to a lethal curse. Severus was able to contain it, but Dumbledore had waited to long to call his assistance. Death was ensured, and that was when he gave Severus the order to kill him before a year’s time.

The Dark Lord had already set forth the order for Draco Malfoy to take care of such business, but it was anticipated for the boy to fail. Severus was expected to finish the job should such occur (which was a high possibility), and Dumbledore ordered him to go through with it.

The game became all the more dangerous, particularly when one Bellatrix Lestrange refused to believe his proclaimed allegiance to the Dark Lord, and even though he had much evidence to support the claim, including the Dark Lord’s own word, she didn’t believe him until he made an Unbreakable Vow with Narcissa Malfoy, promising to keep her son safe to the best of his ability in addition to finishing the job if he were not able to, which he had already promised Dumbledore.

That school year, Dumbledore finally gave him the desired position of Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher. Severus didn’t know why, exactly, but thought perhaps it was some sort of reward. Feeling all the DADA teachers the years previous were incompetent, he pushed the students harder than any other, also finding it more crucial as the Dark Lord’s return was now accepted by the populace.

Not out of the ordinary, Severus found himself punishing Harry Potter whenever he could, and the boy’s behaviour, particularly on a night when he and Draco got into a duel. Severus suspected Potter got a hold of his old Potion’s book. Legilimency confirmed this, though Potter somehow hid the book. Despite this, Severus was not fooled by the book the boy returned to him.

Throughout the year, he tried to discover Draco Malfoy’s doings in an attempt to help him, mostly out of concern to keep him safe, but the boy had become proficient in Occlumency himself and did a good job concealing whatever he was doing, under the impression that Severus was trying to steal his glory, which wasn’t the case. Additionally, he found himself becoming increasingly impatient with Dumbledore and felt the man was just as cunning as, if not more so, than any Slytherin and was even angered when he was informed that Harry Potter would ultimately have to die at the hand of the Dark Lord. Despite voicing his frustrations on many counts, Severus never once defied him, though he did make it known that he did what he did out of his love for Lily and that he hadn’t grown any sort of affection for Harry Potter himself.

Then the night came that the Death Eaters infiltrated Hogwarts, and when Filius Flitwick came to inform him, he knew the time had come and stunned the man unconscious. Severus was very angry; it was something he didn’t want to do, but as the Headmaster pleaded, Severus took his life but not out of cold blood.

Instead of fighting with the Death Eaters, Severus made it his priority to take Draco to safety. Harry confronted him on his way out, but he did not capture the boy and even convinced another not to kill him. The Dark Lord made it quite known that he was to do it himself, so it played in Snape’s favour. This did not stop him from revealing he was the Half-blood Prince and injuring Potter before he fled.

Draco was under the distinct impression that he and his family would be killed for his failure, and perhaps that was the case. Severus did what he could to keep the boy and the family safe, but the remainder of the war would distance them as there was only so much he could do without being caught.

From that point on, it was believed by everybody that his loyalties lied with the Dark Lord. Such a position did require a great deal of sacrifice, including innocent lives, but that was why Severus did what he did so well. By providing information and access to certain things that the Dark Lord wanted, he could easily conceal the truth.

His high standing gave him the power of Headmaster over the school as the Dark Lord took over. He was able to talk to Dumbledore’s portrait and used his position to keep the students safe, a difficult job considering the Carrows each took teaching positions, but overall he managed to prevent any from being killed and assisted Harry Potter. His ultimate act of defiance to the Dark Lord was when he led Harry Potter to the sword of Gryffindor using his Patronus–a doe, in honour of Lily.

All the while, he was never suspected and even pretended to aid the Death Eaters during the Battle of Hogwarts. It was there that he would meet his doom. The Dark Lord called for him, and he could not ignore it, but he grew increasingly nervous as he spoke with him about the Elder Wand not being as efficient as he expected it to. He could sense his impending doom, but he had yet to speak with Harry Potter, something he was supposed to do when the Dark Lord became more protective of his serpent as Dumbledore noted, which he was. In his desperation, he attempted to convince the Dark Lord to allow him to find the boy and bring him to him.

After making a comment that he sounded like Lucius Malfoy, which really wasn’t that far from the truth, the Dark Lord declared that he had to kill him, for if Severus won the Elder Wand by killing Dumbledore, then the Dark Lord would win it by killing him... in theory. The Dark Lord released his snake, and she bit the side of his throat, injecting a highly lethal venom.

The Dark Lord left him for dead, and for a moment, Severus thought he had failed his last mission. By whatever luck, Harry Potter came to him, and with his last amount of strength, he willed out all the memories that Harry needed to know in order to fulfill his duty, even revealing the truth of how he felt about the boy’s mother.

Resurrected Characters (please ignore if not applicable to your character)

If you are applying for someone who is still alive at the end of the series, and would like them to be considered for death and resurrection, please explain why: N/A

If your character is one of the resurrected, what is their last memory and why have they returned at their particular age?: Severus is resurrected to his twenty-one-year-old self, last remembering the fateful night of October 31st, 1981, any lingering about his loyalties confirmed when that dreadful news reached his ear.

Each person who returns from the dead using the magic of the resurrection stone must have a reason to come back. Not only would the character want to return, they must be needed by someone for something. Why have they been brought back? Who wanted them to return? Why? Draco Malfoy is in need of his counsel and has actually written to him in hopes of his return. While Severus wouldn’t have memory of him beyond his infancy, he would be interested in meeting him as he is Draco’s godfather and was close to Lucius Malfoy. Severus could probably provide assistance to the current state of the world one way or another.

Plotting

What short and long term goals do you have for your character?: The short term would be to ease his confusion, find a place to fit in, and reassess his life. The long term would vary, perhaps obtain a sort of ‘peace’ with the Potters, so to speak, though I’d much rather leave it open and see what unfolds.

Additionally, I feel Severus would do well to eventually learn all he achieved, and I’d like to see Severus reestablish a relationship with the Malfoys since the second war seemed to distance them toward the end in a figurative sense.

How does your character feel about the post-war world? (The Wizarding Community becoming more open to muggles, captured Death Eaters receiving the kiss, or being stripped of their wealth and property for lesser offences): His demeanor toward Death Eaters would be difficult to assess, and any sympathies he may or may not have for them would vary from a person to person basis. At this age, his mind is still relatively fresh to switching his alliances, and there were even some Death Eaters that he maintained friendships with. So for some, he may feel it’s very unjust, others not so much. In conclusion, his opinion would differ for each one rather than a general overview.

As far as the wizarding world opening their doors to Muggles, Severus would be less than impressed.
